At this site we will not offer you medical advice. I myself am not a medical doctor and am not qualified to advise people about things only MDs can offer advice on. I have a doctorate in psychophysiology and for the past 22 years have been intensely interested in nutrition and other non-medical forms of improving health. Later I will tell you the story of how I happened upon this interest in nutrition. But for now I want to make it clear that what I say is not to be considered medical advice. For medical advice one must consult a medical doctor. But on the other hand, don’t expect to get sound advice on non-medical matters from medical doctors. If you had a legal problem, you wouldn’t consult an engineer. If you had a psychological problem you wouldn’t expect an attorney to help with it. And for questions of nutrition and everyday well-being and longevity you must consult experts in these fields. Remember that most doctors do not take and are not required to take courses in nutrition, yet one constantly finds them dispensing information on this topic that is far off the mark in the views of those with experience in nutrition enhancement. We will offer you here a continuing series of essays on topics related to best health, longevity and alternative forms of medicine. Please come back regularly and collect all the installments of this series. And please e-mail us with feedback, and let us know what topics we might cover that are of special interest to you. To contact us, e-mail to [email protected]. Until we meet again, my best wishes go out to you.
